Pine Mountain Group Hike
Where: F. D. Roosevelt State Park, Dowdell’s Knod Trek
Time: 10:00 AM EST
Length of Hike: 4.3 Miles
Things to bring: Dress for the weather. Bring water and snack.
Description from Event Organizer: “Begin the new year with a loop hike along the highest point on the Pine Mountain Ridge. Vistas and winter woodlands are sure to please”
Providence Canyon Group Hike
Where: Providence Canyon State Park, Visitors Center
Time: 1:00 PM EST
Length of Hike: 3 Miles
Things to bring: water, hiking shoes, snacks, cameras
Description from Event Organizer: “Join a ranger on a 3 mile hike around one of Georgia’s beautiful wonders. Learn about the different geologic formations of the canyon, the various minerals that are found, and the history and ecosystem of the area. We will explore the canyon from the rim and the floor, so be sure to bring shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and plenty of water”
New Years Day Resolution Run
Where: Big Dog Fleet Feet
Time: 8:00 AM EST
Length of Run: Your choice – 5k or 10k
Note from Event Organizer: “Epic ending at Waveshaper Island!!

Set a Drishti for the New Year
Where: Yoga Inspired
