Pretoria Fields Brewery is a collective, and it's probably unlike most breweries you've known.
It’s the kind of setting beer geeks dream of, and at the same time it’s a place you can feel at home.
They call themselves “Georgia’s Farmhouse Brewery. Their production facility is located in downtown Albany, GA, and their workers utilize hundreds of acres of South Georgia farmland to make their beers a reality.
“Every week we sit around a table and our farmer shares with us what’s going on at the farm, what he’s growing, what he’s planning to plant in the coming months, and then our brewers create recipes and designs around those ingredients,” explains Jennifer Harris, the Marketing and Events Manager for Pretoria Fields Collective.
They opened in December 2017 with four core beers: Shoalie IPA, Skywater Golden Ale, Walkers Station Stout, and Flowing Well Gose.
You can visit the brewery and tasting room at 120 Pine Ave. in Albany Thursday-Sunday in the afternoon to early evening. See more information on their website.
