The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is raising awareness during ‘Cure Diabetes Week’ in Columbus with two special events.
UPDATE – The cooking demonstration event has been canceled due to severe weather. Good news is the JDRF walk is still scheduled and taking registrants!
On October 11 from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Chef Jamie Keating, the owner of EPIC restaurant & JKCULINARY, has teamed up with JDRF to present a healthy cooking demonstration.
The second annual “Grilling in Style” gourmet cooking event will benefit diabetes research. This event will be held at the Pastoral Institute and the evening will include a cooking demonstration, recipes and a three-course plated dinner with a cash bar.

JDRF will also host a walk on October 13 starting at 9 a.m. to bring awareness of type 1 diabetes.
When you participate in the local JDRF ‘One Walk,’ the money raised supports life-changing breakthroughs that give hope to everyone impacted by this disease.
