Finding Summer Fun at Six Flags Over Georgia

Summer is just around the corner and whether you’re looking to spend a day with your family or trying to find a fun trip to enjoy the summer sun, Six Flags Over Georgia is only a few hours away.

The massive theme park has been a staple in the state since it opened in 1967 with its first coaster, the Dahlonega Mine Train.

Since then, Six Flags has grown quite a bit and now has 12 roller coasters, about 24 family and kids rides, games galore, live shows and plenty of opportunities to stay cool in the water.

So if you’re looking for adventure, you can fall into it on Acrophobia, loop into it on the stealthy super coaster Blue Hawk, or find it on the classic coaster Mind Bender.

If you’re just hoping to find some family fun, you can take a leisurely ride through the Monster Mansion, fly through the air in the Sky Buckets or fly your own invisible jet at the WONDER WOMAN Flight School.

Starting May 25, you can dive into summer fun at Six Flags’ Hurricane Harbor.

In between thrills, you can enjoy meeting your favorite characters, the Daffy Duck Dance Off and the ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show.

If you need to refuel while you’re there, Six Flags offers plenty of dining options.

And before you leave, you can commemorate the epic adventure with souvenirs and gifts from the many shops at the massive theme park.

Before you plan your trip though, be sure to check out the upcoming events so you can coordinate your plans to get the most out of your trip.

And finally, don’t purchase a ticket or season pass until you know what the best option is for you.
